Review
Brief storyline of the film, set in modern day Los Angeles and SSgt Michael Nantz (Aaron Eckhart) a 20-year veteran who lost his squad during his last deployment in Iraq as hell breaks out in a global alien invasion, it follows a platoon of U.S. Marines who are joined by an Airman and some Army infantry. The events of the film are inspired by the Battle of Los Angeles, a supposed World War II air raid of the city which turned out to be a false alarm caused by several unidentified objects.

When I heard Empire and Total Film reviewed this film as 2 stars out of 5, I thought it would be like the awful “Skyline” (probably one of the worst alien invasion films ever in my opinion)…and Jesus what was the guys down at Empire and Total Film thinking, really this is an awesome military science- fiction film not only do you get non- stop action it’s realistic action from the soldiers e.g. weapons, vehicles and from the aliens I mean the reason why their invasion us is…far better than stealing are brains (I kid you not lol). It’s a lot like Black Hawk Down meets District 9 you get a lot of the same feel from the characters and the action scenes but at the same time it’s a very different take on science-fiction unlike “Monsters”….no thank you lol
Overall the film delivers big time it reimagined the aliens-from-space genre in smart, imaginative ways. It’s getting back to old school original thinking…the film focus on the soldiers POV which it great because we as an audience don’t see that in films much, so if your fan of original alien invasion stories like Direct 9 but want that realistic feel you get in war films then you have found it.

WET (Game) - Review

Release Year: 2008
Country: USA
Cert (UK): 18
Based on games like: Devil May Cry and Stranglehold

Special Cast Voice’s: Eliza Dushku, Malcolm McDowell and Alan Cumming.
Review
Brief storyline of the game Rubi Malone (Eliza Dushku) is a bounty hunter/mercenary known as “the problem-solver” within the game she is hired to retrieve a briefcase that is hijacked by a gang, and becoming so badass she numerous dead gang members in her wake and delivers the case to a hospital it turns out to contain a human heart for a very powerful man called William Ackers which needs it to survive and basically as most storylines do.. Things go out of control. The storyline is a lot like the Grindhouse films e.g. Planet Terror and Death Proof both films purposely over-the-top characters, action scenes and storyline and soundtrack.... the game is basically  (and the films) are taking the piss out off old 70’s/80’s stereotypical style and it’s works beautifully.
The Gameplay is pretty awesome! In slow-motion gunfights e.g. fire while jumping, sliding on her knees, seducing goons, and running on walls as you do and using a stylish slash of a sword to cut arms ,heads and other nice things lol it’s got a lot of the same mechanic like Stranglehold (John Woo’s sequel storyline to Hard Boiled) so if you liked that game then you will love this one! As you play Rubi’s Character she carries twin pistols and a sword (she can also carry dual shotguns, submachine guns, or crossbows) all great weapons to have fun with. One of the best parts in using slow-motion you can aim at a second enemy (something that you can’t do in stranglehold) the graphics are quite good, nothing mind-blowing but good, except on cut-scenes where it zooms on the characters and you notice the imperfections. I encountered 3 graphical glitches in the whole play through, nothing serious, and were actually funny so no worries. The length of the game was actually longer than I expected, and that is a plus! And the animation is very good also with artwork.
The down side of the Gameplay is that doesn't allow much free movement, some of the cut scenes you just can’t skip, so if you die (which is fairly common on harder difficulties) you have to watch the thing all over again, and it gets saturating.
Overall the game is fun to anyone that likes mindless killing and slow-motion Gameplay, its great fun to play and the soundtrack is just great...the game is very cheap to buy; I got it for a fiver on amazon.co.uk so it’s good for money and don’t for forget the secret monkeys within the game (I kid you not lol)

Review
Okay its set ten years after the events Scream 3 (2000) Sidney Prescott As make an return to her old town in Woodsboro, which was original killing happened (Scream – with Billy Loomis and Stu Macher) soon as she arrives, Ghostface once again begins killing students from Woodsboro High, including her younger cousin's friends. Prescott, Gale Weathers Riley, and Dewey Riley once again team up to stop the murders, but not before having to learn from a new generation the "new rules" of surviving horror films.

Now first off, if your fan of the Scream Franchise you would know that Web Craven (the director) and Kevin Williamson (writer of Scream, Scream 2 and Scream 4) are also back…it’s great to see original and updated writing from Kevin, The opening is pure Scream – with multiple murders, cameos from Anna Paquin (True Blood) and Kristen Bell (Heroes) as the film aims at remakes, never ending sequels e.g. nightmare on elm street and Saw. My favourite within the opening has to be “yeah the sixth one has time travel” I mean that’s just funny and true within some franchises basically meaning some go too far lol.
Also we have the new Ghostface killer (voiced again by Roger L. Jackson, the franchise’s true unsung hero) is always great to hear roger voice as Ghostface its awesome lol i was surprised that it's more violence then the original Scream trilogy, being that the original is an 18 and the new one is a 15… i guess that shows how fucked up the BBFC is lol how does the BBFC rate films is beyond me.

Overall it’s better than the woeful Scream 3 (which was less down), good see fresh new faces and the original cast, I like to say that film is not scary more of a dark-comedy (don’t let that put you off) it’s still a great film to watch… but Scream the original will always be the best out of the franchise
